Title: Important Announcement for Zenarmor Users about 26.7 update
Post by: sy on July 15, 2026, 03:57:58 PM

OPNsense 26.7 has just been released. To ensure a smooth transition and prevent any potential service disruptions, we kindly advise our users to hold off on upgrading their OPNsense systems until we officially announce full compatibility.
Our team is currently running final regression tests on the new release. We will share a follow-up announcement as soon as the green light is given. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

I just upgraded from 26.1 to 26.7 and it worked great.  Previously I had a bunch of issues but now everything as far as zenarmor is concerned is working.  Thanks!  No more orphans or issues with ZenArmor.

I've just upgraded to 26.7. OPNsense reboots once (as viewed from the UI) and appears to successfully run 26.7 although a number of packages are reinstalled/upgraded. During this time, Zenarmor reports Elasticsearch re-installation is required and a manual update fails with lock errors - presumably because upgrades/reinstalls are happening in the background. Following a manual reboot, Zenarmor is now up and running and the upgrade appears to be successful.

One issue I've noticed is that Zenarmor does not apply the correct theme colorscheme when OPNsense is set to the new opnsense-auto theme.

Hi @RutherDiehard,

Thank you for the feedback. We will check the theme issue.

On my machine, I get this ZenArmor error after upgrading: Reporting Database
Status: Stopped ; Type: Elasticsearch. :-( (this is on Versions
OPNsense 26.7.1-amd64, FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE-p1, OpenSSL 3.5.7 running on a Intel(R) Celeron(R) J4125 CPU @ 2.00GHz (4 cores, 4 threads))

Are you still using Elasticsearch 5? It's deprecated and no longer supported. You should switch to Elasticsearch 8 which is the currently supported version.

There seems to be some cloudflare wrong-doings. Either i'm told I've been limited or

Yes, there was an issue yesterday that was quickly resolved after I submitted a ticket. All OK now for the Cloudflare issue.
