Hello guys!
So, I have been running 26.1.x for a couple of weeks. Works perfectly, migrate my FW rules to the new way, and my DHCP to DNSMasq.
Yesterday, I had a power outage for 5 hr. UPS took it for 1h30, then shutdown everything. This morning, some configuration dissapered. All Rules [New] Left, I have to migrate AGAIN.
I tried restoring a backup of 1 week earlier, nop. I might have to try ealier again but I do find strange that I lost configuration that I saved and applied, and there is a backup every week..
did it happen to someone?
You might have drive problems try the SMART plugin of OPNsense, and always download your configuration.
Also, running the latest version of the software is very helpful, especially if you dont have a lot of experience. Wait 48 and if you don't see people complain of problems, then update.
Troubleshooting a version from February is much more difficult.

I do this always after each upgrade and also add it to the name of the config.xml file :)
For example :
config-OPNsense-20260605010156_After_26.1.9_Upgrade.xmlAnd the same file exists on both a PC and a Laptop just in case something weird happens...
Thanks.
yeah I have an automatic backup running every sunday into my google drive.
I took a 2-3 week backup, and it did restore the FW rule... the last week backup didn't worked? I ffind this strange... xD I don't always update OPNsense every week, ro so, but I'll give a shot updating right now in case of...
as for my flash storage, Smart is good.
I was wondering if anyone already had an issue like this. It's the first time it gets wierd... the migration as such a success when I did it haha!
