Hardware : Minisforum MS-A2, bare metal install.
Problem : After adding ANY plugin the system hangs on framebuffer.
This started happening after an update a few versions back (I don't recall which).
Since then I can only run a stable install if NOTHING gets added.
I tried to install something first, before config. Nope.
Configuring a working system, then installing an extra. Nope.
Tried dvd and vga images.
It also does not seem to matter what I install.
ANY of the, even official plugins is enough to cause this.
I have found a wild variety of similar posts on the internet some older then others but none that really seem to fix it.
So this is my last stop before I order a ubiquiti that just works.
Edit : Had to compress image.
Update : a bios update (with seemingly no changes of relevance) seems to have fixed it.

Hehehe!!! IKR !!! I had a bit of a laugh too after reading that part! ^_^
But luckily the BIOS/UEFI update solved the issue for him so no need to migrate to the brand that releases faulty firmwares from time to time!
LOL! :)
Anybody can screw up firmware, all good if they fix it later on (https://community.ui.com/questions/Bug-802-1x-port-security-does-not-work-for-IPv6-on-USW-Pro-HD-24-POE/3280a2d8-43ff-49da-88e0-445af74e203e) (even if it takes years after initial product release).
However, the first link (https://community.ui.com/questions/UDM-Pro-SE-design-issue-Mixed-speed-port-bridging-breaks-TCP-transfers/1114a18f-ab79-4c8c-89f0-0d404dd849d9) seems to be a hardware/design problem, so that one cannot be healed at all, IMHO. The only thing that comes to their rescue is that nobody noticed the hard part before. That is, if not being able to split up a 10 Gbps connection to eight 1 Gbps ports is not bad enough in the first place (at least that is not a complete functional show-stopper).
