Title: [SOLVED] Session timeout
Post by: sopex8260 on March 16, 2026, 04:57:19 PM
In your experience, does session timeout work? I have set it up to 1 minute for testing, but it doesn't always work.

It has moods.  On some occasions it doesn't work and the session is still active after many hours or the following day.

When it does work, it doesn't drop out to the login screen.  It just expires the session but leaves the current view frozen in the browser tab.  It only drops out to the login screen when I click anywhere in the UI.

On Firefox, FWIW.

That's exactly my experience as well on chrome.

System: Settings: Administration -> Web GUI -> Session Timeout? I have mine set at 4 hours; I sit in it, but I can't say with certainty whether I've ever been timed out.

Addendum: Agree with other observations. But the frozen session is rare, and may not be triggered by a timeout, as it mostly also requires going through the "untrusted cert" process to restore (I'm too lazy to set the browser to trust it).
