Title: I created a NAT Rule and i was hoping someone could help me remove it
Post by: Buzzammo on February 23, 2026, 01:17:16 PM
I setup an IOT VLAN and I was trying to setup a NAT rule so that the IOT devices do not use their own DNS Servers. I created the NAT Forwarding and it created the associated NAT Rule. It showed up with an exclamation mark so I decided to delete the NAT Forwarding. The Rule is still in place I can't remove it since it was auto generated. Can anyone help me with how to remove that auto generated rule. I am so frustrated. Thanks for any help.

I am running the latest version OPNsense 26.1.2_5 I tried rebooting and restoring from a backup that was done before the change. Not running ZFS on this Protectli. I really can't find a good solution when searching on this issue. Thanks for any help!!

Press on the magnifying glass of the rule, it will redirect you to where the option is set. An arrow will point to it.

Hi Cedrik,

When I click on that magnifying glass it takes me to Firewall: Settings Advanced.

I am unsure what to look for.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

Cedrik,

I found it!  The arrow shows up on the new rules when I clicked on it.

Thank you so much!  I can reduce the blood pressure medication today!
