Title: Pointers on how to manually delete dhcpd user and group
Post by: allenlook on February 04, 2026, 08:39:33 PM
Running the update generates a message that you should manually delete the dhcpd user and group, but they aren't normal entities apparently.

Does anyone have a pointer on docs to do this?

Google-fu doesn't help much, it doesn't understand the context, and Brave isn't much better.

There's no real need to do that.  It's only a FreeBSD ports message.

Cheers,

If you really want to, just do  "rmuser dhcpd" as root in a ssh session. It will remove the user and group. I did it, worke fine, no issues.
