Post by: notspam on January 26, 2026, 12:41:02 PM
Upgrade from 26.1.rc1 to 26.1.rc2.
Need two upgrade steps and then it was done successful.
A short test shows normal functionality.

Nice, if you can try a reboot since it's currently not forced and hostwatch and dhcp6c will not fully restart into their latest version due to this.

Cheers,
Franco

I've also upgraded from RC1 to RC2 and everything works perfectly. I've ported the old rules to the new rules.

I also really like the categories in the new rules. 👌

Cheers  😊

I upgraded as well and it went smoothly. Additionally, the latest version of hostwatch is a massive improvement in terms of disk writes. I can leave it enabled now.

What does your System: Firmware: Status say?

My upgrade worked but threw an error due to a missing file.

For context, after the upgrade to RC1, I removed the ISC-DHCP related plugins, as I have already moved to kea DHCP.

Update: I noticed that the OS-ISC-DHCP-DEVEL plugin automatically keeps getting reinstalled. I remove it from the plugins, restart web-gui and can then see all ISC DHCP services removed. Shortly after the ISC DHCP services are restored and when I check plugins, the OS-ISC-DHCP-DEVEL has been installed.

@spetrillo You're not on RC1, you're still on "Development". You need to switch back to "Community", as explained in the RC1 release announcement thread.

That did the trick! Thank you. ISC DHCP completely gone now and running RC2.

Known issue which is impossible to reproduce cleanly.  I'll try to dig into the package manager when 26.1 is out.

You're still on the development version as well.  See Maurice's comment.
