Title: help with dhcpv4 on vlans
Post by: ricostuart on November 16, 2025, 12:48:47 PM
Im running 25.7.7 and have setup 3 vlans using opt1/2/3. All of which are enabled, assigned and with static IP setup as needed. However, the problem I have is that when I try to turn on dhcp on those vlans, there is no option to do so!
Under services/ISC DHCPv4 I have [LAN], Leases and Log File options only. I have tried rebooting it, but nothing still. Any ideas?

Under Interfaces/Devics/VLAN:
vlan0.1 tagged 10, best effort, parent=LAN
vlan0.2 tagged 20, best effort, parent=LAN
vlan0.3 tagged 30, best effort, parent=LAN

Under Interfaces/Assignments
all vlans assigned and enabled as needed, IPv4 set with Static IPv4, none for IPv6.
vlan0.1 IPv4 static IP: 10.32.10.1/24
vlan0.2 IPv4 static IP: 10.32.20.1/24
vlan0.3 IPv4 static IP: 10.32.30.1/24
IPv4 gateway rules set as disabled.

Cant find what I am missing, so if anyone has any ideas?
Thank you!

FYI - I am also using unbound, adguard and tailscale on the server. And I am using an externally hosted nginx reverse proxy for internal network services. Not sure if that makes any difference.....

Dnsmasq is the default in that version, give this a read there are quite some example configurations:
