Title: How to move Adguard Home config to new install
Post by: coffeecup25 on November 12, 2025, 04:04:37 PM
I am planning to add a spare router and put OPNsense on it. I'll restore a backup from my current one for the main configuration.

My question involves Adguard Home.

I will load it from the OPNsense support site that offers it (I have to look it up so I'll be vague at this time about that.)

To configure, can I simply replace AdguardHome.yaml with one that's in current use and expect it to work normally from that point on? WinSCP seems to work well for  jobs like that. I remember it being a monster to hand configure the first time. Especially using 2 subnets.

Thanks in advance.

Copying AdguardHome.yaml will definitely do all necessary configuration. For installation refer to:

Thanks. Nice to see you again. Calmer times now.

Edit a couple days later:  Everything worked like clockwork. Thanks.
