Title: Are you using stock or custom QAT driver?
Post by: Jyling on November 11, 2025, 12:38:05 PM
Stock driver does not work in VMs. Does open sense use an out-of-tree custom QAT driver for virtualized environments, or is it stock that does not work in VMs?

This is a question to be directed at your virtualisation platform. The hypervisor must pass through QAT as a virtual function to the VM guest. If QAT is present the guest OS should pick it up.

No. But without pass through there will be no QAT device in the VM.
