Hi everyone,
After a few power outages, my firewall stopped booting properly and dropped into some kind of rescue shell. I decided to reinstall OPNsense from scratch using a 25.7.0 USB image, and installed it to the SSD with opnsense-installer.
The install went fine, but when it booted up I noticed most plugins were missing. After checking for updates and rebooting, it came back with only three basic packages and no plugins.
When I try to check for updates again, I get:
The release type "opnsense" is not available on this repository.
I already tried pkg update -f and opnsense-update, but they give similar errors. The file /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/OPNsense.conf is also missing.
Has anyone seen this before? Could it be a repo issue with 25.7.0 or maybe something wrong with the installer image? Should I try reinstalling with an older version (like 25.1) and upgrade from there?
Thanks,
Dvir
Did you enable "Show community plugins"?
It could well be a corrupted filesystem if there are missing files.
System > Firmware > Run and audit: Health - should help to identify.
Also from there you resolve plugin conflicts, which restore the missing ones if you had restored a config. Installing from scratch will of course have no knowledge of what packages or plugins you had.
