I hope you are doing well. I am also based in Boblingen in Germany, and i am trying to setup opnsense on a router pc.
My ISP asked me to tag my WAN with vlan 132 so i can get an IPV4 IP address.
I have followed all the instructions but i am still not getting an IPV4 IP. See attached my screenshot.(https://pasteboard.co/9QYCWwwhP1Qs.png)
Am i doing something wrong? Is there something else i need to configure
The screen shot is missing.
See attached
Are they using DHCP or PPPoE?
By the documentation on their website, it is DHCP, so everything looks right. They do not explicitely tell to use DHCP, though, only for the other VLAN which is VoIP. Maybe the OP needs to configure a static adress (though improbable) or they need to enable the router's MAC. Normally, they expect Fritzboxes with TR069.
I would contact the ISP.
Yes. I am using DHCP. I reached out to them again and this is what they said
"Thank you for your message.
We have gladly checked the connection again, your routers each have a
public dynamic IP. If you have any further problems with your network
settings, please contact the hardware manufacturer. As an Internet
provider, we cannot take any further action in this case.

Any idea what they mean by "routers" and "each"? Do you have two gateways/firewalls connected to their uplink?
So the ISP has a modem that i plug into and put that ethernet cabble in my igc0 port for wan into my glovary router mini pc i got from Amazon https://a.co/d/8TqWjVG.
Is it ok to send you my opnsense comfig export so you can take a deeper look
WAN is the second port on a standard OPNsense install, e.g. igc1, unless you modified the interface assignments.
Hi.
My Wan is on IGC0 and my lan is on IGC1. Despite all the right configurations i still cant get internet from my ISP primeroCom.
Here are screenshot of my configuration.
Here is my DHCP response i got
According to your ifconfig output, vlan01 has "no carrier". Please show the output of "ifconfig igc0" - if there is no carrier, then the connection between your ONT and OpnSense is not O.K., maybe bad cabling or incompatible interfaces (which also can happen).
More often than not, the labeling on the case of these things does not correspond to the interface numbering in FreeBSD.
Attached is the picture of the IGCO of my WAN
Can you elaborate on what you mean by Incompatible interfaces because i have tried multiple calbe with the same results.
I bought my Glovary box from the US and i am using it in Germany. Does that mean that A US firewall mini pc is not compatible to work in Germany? What would you recommend as a solution.
I have also tried an ASUS router and it is still the same result. I can get IPV4 from my internet provider. Despite many attempt to tell them about my issue has fallen on death ears.
Thanks
As you can see, igc0 has "no carrier" - so it acts as if no cable is plugged in. You should also see that the status LEDs on that port do not show a running connection.
Tha means: igc0 does not detect its counterpart, whether that is because of bad cabling, using the wrong port, a defective port (try another one!) or an incompatible ONT, I cannot tell. In contrast, igc1 does show an active status.
Seldomly, ethernet NICs do not connect with one another, that may be because one side cannot handle speed autoselection, somtimes it helps to manually set the connection speed.
What also is possible, is that Primerocom's ONT is locked to a specific router's MAC. Their website says something to that extent: https://www.primerocom.de/die_technologie
So it would be best to contact your ISP again and ask why their Alcatel ONT cannot connect via ethernet to your router.
