Title: Just updated, all https websites broken
Post by: andre2000 on April 10, 2025, 10:19:03 PM
Hi franco,

I updated to 25.1.4 one hour ago. After the update and reboot, two things happened:

1. My Vodafone Modem went from Bridge to Modem mode, it's been configured as bridge since years. Did set it back through to Bridge successfully. Might not be correlated to the situation but it's noteworthy probably.
2. I am online. I can ping every server I want, but every SSL connection is broken, getting a "SSL Protocol error". Everything works fine when using VPN. I deactivated Zenarmor for testing purposes and suspecting TLS Inspection as the culprit without success.

Please let me know which logs to provide, will be happy to do so.

Thank you!

Okay that's wild. I saw the posts about Captive portal being active on all interfaces and stopped it. https works again. Will now revert Zenarmor etc, maybe that was it.

Leave ZA alone, there are no reports about it not working in 25.1.5. If you're on 25.1.4 then you need to upgrade first and then follow the steps below, as you might be encountering the lighttpd issue that was fixed in 25.1.5

Follow the steps mentioned here by Ad and Franco:
