Title: OpenVPN SSL VPN Road Warrior, reconnect al time "[SOLVED]"
Post by: martinpedros on February 27, 2025, 07:27:49 PM
Good afternoon. First of all I'm just getting started with OPNsense, so I apologize if I ask something obvious. I just configured a remote OpenVPN client according to the document:

https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/sslvpn_instance_roadwarrior.html

Everything seemed to work perfectly, with access to the OPNsense LAN without problems, doing split tunneling on the client as I need. Until I realized that, when there is no traffic between the remote client and the OPNsense, the client disconnects and connects all the time. If I do a continuous ping to the OPNsense LAN it works without problems. I guess it's some kind of timeout issue, but I can't find it in the OpenVPN server instance configuration on the OPNsense. Could someone guide me?

I am using OPNsense version:

OPNsense 25.1.1-amd64
FreeBSD 14.2-RELEASE-p1
OpenSSL 3.0.16

Thank you very much in advance,
