I just replaced our sonicwall with an OPNsense box. Everything is setup pretty much default. I can't ping other computers. Also, my computers are not showing up under network in file manager.
Is your OPNsense the only L3 device in the network?
Are those computers in the same VLAN/L3 network segment?
Have those computers the GW set to OPNsense?
Can you do ping and trace from one computer to another and post it here (include as well the command)?
Can you make a screenshot of your FW Rules and post it here?

NVM I figured out to add a LAN rule with any... I can ping them and see them if I put in the computer IP, but icon not displaying in network file manager
there might be an issue with the network settings or firewall rules on your new OPNsense box. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot:
Check Network Configuration: Ensure that the LAN interface on OPNsense is configured correctly and has an IP address in the same subnet as your computers.
Firewall Rules: Verify that there are no firewall rules blocking ICMP (ping) and SMB (file sharing) traffic between your computers and the OPNsense box.
NAT and Routing: Make sure that NAT and routing are properly configured to allow traffic between your LAN and the OPNsense box.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, you might want to check the logs on OPNsense for any errors or clues about what's going wrong.
If all machines are in the same subnet, the FW is out of the picture.
I suspect the router switch is seen as a network change and the new network (on the PCs) was set up as public, which turns off all discovery.
