I am experiencing an issue with DHCP leases within Kea that are not being removed after their expiration time.
Is there a manual process that can be executed to clear out the expired leases?
(Note: I have temporarily disabled DHCPv4 in Kea due to this issue.)
AFAIK, it's pretty typical for a DHCP server to keep these around. It allows it to offer the same IP if the device comes back online.
My ISC instance has a pile of expired leases right now.
I assume that if the pool of never assigned IPs shrunk enough, it would begin to recycle long expired leases.

I'm new to KEA and wish there was a garbage can icon to delete leases also :(
ISC DHCP has a button to delete leases. How do we do this in KEA?
At this time, you cannot do it from the UI, so file a feature request on github. Ad and Franco are working on some refinements for Kea anyway.
Have any update?
The expired leases in the lease file are important too.
If the valid_lifetime is 0, its also used to delete IA_PD routes now.
