Title: Method to mass import DNS overrides and static ISC DHCP assignments?
Post by: tdalej on December 26, 2024, 11:15:22 PM
I tried this a number of years ago without success.  https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=9039.0
I am desperately hoping there is an alternative to manual input of ~70 DNS override entries and ~90 or so static DHCP assignments.

Any way to manually edit the xml backup file then restore?
I don't see any way in the UI to mass imports...

Download current config.xml, make a copy, edit the copy to contain the new entries, import edited config.xml.

Using that method leaves unbound not starting, and unable to start for some reason.
I don't see anything in unbound logs and only see this in system logs:
Notice   opnsense   /usr/local/sbin/pluginctl: plugins_configure unbound_start (execute task : unbound_configure_do(1))
Notice   opnsense   /usr/local/sbin/pluginctl: plugins_configure unbound_start (1)
