I'm trying to install OPNsense for the first time -- goes without saying that I'm pretty new to this sort of stuff.
As soon as I select the bootable USB with the vga image of OPNsense on it, I get the ASCII art welcome screen as expected. I allow it to autoboot, where it soon after gets stuck hanging on the following output, before I even get to 'log in' to the installer:
"ata3: <ATA channel> at channel 1 on atapci0",
as seen in the following screenshot:

Here are some specs that might be helpful. Let me know if I left out any other useful info.
- HP Z820 running Windows 10 Pro;
- Processors: 2x Intel(R) Xeon (R) CPU ES-2695 v2 @ 2.40GHz;
- x64 system architecture;
- 64GB RAM;
- 164GB storage available;
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!! :)
I have a similar issue, but my system hangs at/after the CPU0 ACPI message. Single or multiuser mode. Linux (System Rescue) and the FreeBSD 14.2 installer boot (and run) just fine. Not sure how to troubleshoot this one - I don't see any (apparently) relevant BIOS settings. I'll poke around here for a while.
System is a blank/new Ryzen 7700x. This one: http://www.tailbone.net/projects/301 (http://www.tailbone.net/projects/301).
Replying to self: Fix: https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=38921.0 (https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=38921.0). Grrr. Proceeding.

This screenshot is not from my own setup; I took it from a YouTube video just to illustrate where I'm facing an issue.
The problem is: when I reach this screen, the installation suddenly fails, and I start seeing error codes/messages appearing below.
I hope I was able to explain the situation clearly.
(and sorry for late reply im working so thats why i took ss from yt)
