Hi all,

I am currently running 22 gen opnsense and am planning on migrating to 24 gen, should everything run ok on upgrade, or can i back up all my vlans, routing and so forth via export then import them back into 24 gen ..

Cheers

Another method is to import and reinstall using a new installation image, which will retain your settings using "Import Configuration", then reformat the disk and apply a clean system using either "Install (UFS)" or "Install (ZFS)".

You can upgrade over ssh by choosing option 12) a few times: 22.7 > 22.7.x > 23.1 > 23.1.x > 23.7 > 23.7.x > 24.1 > 24.1.x > 24.7 > 24.7.10

A reboot will be required between each version listed above.

Third party repos/obsolete packages might throw additional wrenches in your upgrade path, but should be manageable.
