Title: Hide interfaces from main UI
Post by: peanutbuttersanga on December 06, 2024, 08:31:47 AM
Hi,

I have several VLAN interfaces which have been bridged into a single network. All configuration is contained on the bridge interface, and as such I have no need to show the member interfaces within the main UI.

I'm just wondering if there happens to be a way to hide interfaces I do not wish to see on the main "Interfaces" section of the UI as they only clutter my screen - I can always configure them from the Overview page and would prefer to hide them if possible.

It's may be possible and I've just overlooked it, but I've genuinely looked through every conceivable place I could think of to hide the member interfaces without finding a way to achieve this.

How many is 'several' :) If they are cluttering up your display, you may have too many. You can customise the dashboard to not show interfaces; click the pencil icon in the top right.

If OPNsense is not the firewall that implements your security policy for them, then just have a simple interlink VLAN to the firewall that does.

You can also "hide" them into a single group entry.
