Title: Duration between Crowdsec Hub release and Opnsense repo depolyments..
Post by: ToiletClunker on December 04, 2024, 04:26:05 AM
 :o :o

Hi all, New to the Neighborhood. Been using Opnsense for a good long while, love it. My wondering is with crowdsec's releases and opnsense's downstream of the updates. I've tried to manual update a couple of times, yeah it worked but borked the update process somehow. So i just normally stick and wait it out, but giving all the madness out there these days I'd figure and ask. I'm kind of a security mindful person, yup I have Zenarmor and Suricata setup & by no means is this a complaint or griping session, just wondering about this.  :D

Also a few times I have had the frozen at boot after update issue, but for me that was due to failing nic's. a replace and reflash with restore from update and all was good. That's why I have much love for Opnsense and the other Variant. I came from IPFire 2 years ago. Meh... Its's good don't knock it, but still. you know.
The edit is just an update of posted images that is all. Oh yeah and CrowdSec in the hub has been notifying me for a week about it. Again Hi to all and thanks for reading this. 8)

Hi,

Welcome to the team :)

To rule out the possibility related to Zenarmor, you can set the Zenarmor Engine to Bypass Mode from the Dashboard and test again. This approach creates a scenario where Zenarmor does not interfere with network traffic, helping you determine whether the issue is caused by Zenarmor.

If you want to address the issue from a broader perspective, it might be beneficial to move the topic from a Zenarmor-specific section to a more general category. This would allow you to consider other potential causes as well.
