Title: Changing password or user group in Nginx basic auth gives a unexpected error
Post by: Vince007 on November 19, 2024, 03:50:45 PM
OPNsense 24.7.8-amd64
FreeBSD 14.1-RELEASE-p6
OpenSSL 3.0.15

Since last update it's impossible to change either the password of an Nginx user or its group membership.
It gives an unexpected error - see attached image.

Go to Nginx / Configuration / Credential and try to change a user password.
Go to Nginx / Configuration / User list and try to deactivate one user from a group.

Nothing special in logs files.

Any idea ?

Regards
Vince

If you need the patch now run the command. If you can wait do the GUI upgrade. You can also do both, but not in the wrong order ;)

Updating to 24.7.9, then applying the patch which reverts it (which is intended but sometimes surprising).
