Title: Zenarmor 1.18 higer idle cpu load
Post by: db9 on October 24, 2024, 11:57:32 AM
I upgraded Zenarmor to version 1.18 on OPNSense version 24.7.7 today.

I noticed that the idle CPU load in my case went up from 7% to 11%. Do more people notice some increase? It looks also a bit slower but that's difficult to pinpoint.

(EDIT) CPU dropped back to normal. Maybe some background traffic and/or Zearmor housekeeping on the box. This post may be deleted.

Maybe, yes. I seem to be averaging a little higher, but on my system this means staying up around 2-3% more often. I just upgraded, and will be upgrading the Business OPN version tonight (and a reboot) so I'll check again in the morning.

I have the same issue. Upgrade last Friday (around noon) to 1.18.3, and idle CPU has almost doubled !
It is clearly showing in LibreNMS metrics. I have rebooted the firewall, but to no avail.

Hi,

What are the top processes for top -ao cpu command?

ipdrstreamer (uses op around 42%)
eastpect: Eastpect Instance 1
eastpect: Eastpect Instance 0

must be something wrong with the reports. When I click on Zenarmor, reports, I get "No connections have been recognized for the last 30 minutes", which is unlikely

I rebooted the appliance again, and it now seems to be running normal again. I'll see how it behaves.
