Title: no internet over DHCP
Post by: OlpioFort on October 18, 2024, 09:36:53 PM
Dear All,

I have setted-up a new opnsense installation in a proxmox envoirment , the configuration is the following

NIC1 ==> WAN
NIC2 + NIC 3 ==> Bridged for two different AP with same subnet
NIC4 ==> static interface for management

everithyng is working except for internet access over DHCP , if i enable kena on the bridged nic's the device are getting the ip correctly but without internet access .
I have tried to ping both a website or an IP adress for one of the access point and I wans't able to reach buth of them.

Did you assign your bridge as the "LAN" interface, or something else? If something else, do you have a firewall rule to allow internet access (destination "any") for traffic received on it? All traffic is blocked unless there's a rule to allow it. There is a "Default allow LAN to any rule" for the "LAN" interface out of the box, but if you've created your own interface for the bridge, you would need to create a similar rule for it.

I have setted the rule as per attachment on the bridged interfaces , but the problem over DHCP is incurring also on the lan interface.
