Title: OPNSense not accessible after update 24.7.5/6
Post by: mixmix99 on October 13, 2024, 11:28:47 AM
Hi there,

After updating to 24.7.5, I could not access OPNsense at all. The LAN interface couldn't even be pinged. Other interfaces (WAN, second LAN, etc.) are working fine. This issue occurred after the update got stuck, and I manually rebooted it from the GUI.

After many hours of troubleshooting, I discovered that if I physically connect to the console after boot and trigger "reload all services," the interface works fine. However, after the next reboot, it fails again. The update to 24.7.6 did not change anything.

Additionally, I noticed that the interface is accessible for approximately 10 seconds during the boot process, but then it goes down and stays down.

OPNsense is running bare metal on an N100 mini PC with 6 x 2.5GbE i226V interfaces.

I am relatively new to OPNsense, so any tips would be greatly appreciated! :-)

I've interogated two super computers and they're in agreement with my CB on this issue:
