Since last update my opnsense dashboard is overloading my chrome(windows) tab to the point the browser wants to kill it.
Is this an isolated problem just on my browser?

Not just you. I get the same freeze or widgets that start failing after a while. Dashboard starts with animation graphs smooth as butter and then start stuttering until they eventually turn the page unresponsive. Happens in all browsers and on both Windows and Mac.
Try disable the "Firewall" and "Firewall States" widgets. Without them all looks fine
