Hi All,
for what exactly stands or what is MINT in the url ?
cheers till
Hi Till,
"MINT" (fresh, untouched) simply means these are the real package repositories per version as they come from the build systems, while the actual releases are tracked via symbolic links "latest" and "libressl".
This helps us to upload and test the updates before they go live and makes administration easier.
It will also be used in our upcoming "opnsense-revert" tool to simplify the revert of a package per version.
Cheers,
Franco
Hi Franco,
ok, so a pendant on the real plant?
cheers till
Metaphorically, not literally, yes.
We simply needed a visible indicator in the URL that it is going to expire quite rapidly so that people don't start to rely on them in their infrastructure and/or find their way to this very thread where we talked about it.
You see, I planted this.
I said plant, like mint. *giggles*
Cheers,
Franco
