Title: Disable CRC offloading command line
Post by: juchestalin on September 25, 2024, 03:59:12 AM
Hi there. I was following this thread: https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=26638.0 trying to see if I could fix my slow throughput.

Hardware: O-Droid H3+ 32GB RAM with 4 port extended Realtek NIC

They didn't actually say to uncheck the "disable hardware checksum offload", so I'm not sure why I did, but when I did, I broke the system such that I can't get into it anymore except directly via command line. Stupidly, I have not made a backup yet (very early in getting things working, so didn't consider myself to have a "good" config.")

I would rather not have to start from scratch, but that's obviously an option. I'm in /conf/config.xml but I don't see anything that appears relevant to this setting.

Seek and you shall find ... on the next page of forum posts :)

System makes backups anyway - option 13 on the console:

Thanks, iMx. I did figure that out last night. The automated backups are a lifesaver.

I'd also make use of the Cloud Backups .... again, a life saver for when the drive decides to 'give up the ghost' at LOL o'clock :)
