Hi everyone, my first post.
Should I disable secure boot and fast boot in the BIOS.
I want to take it one step at a time and I usually disable these settings when I install Linux.
Is there any security benefit to be had by leaving both of these settings enabled.

The security benefit of leaving Secure Boot on is that you won't be able to install OPNsense.
Fast boot - do whatever you want, has no bearing on the OS.
Thanks, I have secure boot off, will leave fast boot alone seeing as it is no security threat.
Not sure we are on the same page, if I recall correctly, what's called fast boot is a setting that skips some screens and tests (such as short memory test) when you power on your computer. Depending on the MB vendor really. Not related to security in any way.
