Hello everyone,
I have been using OpnSense for 3 years on a SuperMicro mainboard (A2SDi-4C-HLN4F) with an Intel Atom C3558 CPU. Everything worked great until today, every update went smoothly.
Today I updated from version 24.1.8 to 24.7 and after that the firmware no longer boots. If I go back to the old kernel, OpnSense boots again.
The following error appears in a continuous loop:
(ada0:ahcich10:0:0:0): Error 5, Unretryable error
(ada0:ahcich10:0:0:0): READ_FPDMA_QUEUED. ACB: 60 07 70 eb 40 16 00 00 00 00 00
(ada0:ahcich10:0:0:0): CAM status: Auto-Sense Retrieval Failed
What can I do here?
Thank you very much!
Your drive seem broken.
That's how I interpreted it too.
What I find strange is that it works normally with the old kernel.
Nothing strange, the drive has errors.
Best course of action is to backup the config and replace the drive
I had a weird error myself - I updated over the webui, and after updating internet was down, and another update was available, back to 24.1 from 24.7 if i recall correctly?
this was late last night so i just accepted that update which seemed to roll it back and all is working now again, but curious if it's worth a shot to try the update to 24.7 again over the webui
