Title: 52 packages "updates" available
Post by: 9axqe on August 12, 2024, 07:56:46 AM
Something is wrong with the way my opnsense checks for updates it seems. After successfully upgrading to 27.1 (pretty nice so far, except integration with Home Assistant broke again), when I click "check for upgrades" it shows me 52 "updates", of which:
* 6 reinstall (no new version)
* 46 new install (package not installed as of now)
and there's a lot of packages from the mimugmail repository somehow as well, most of them new.

Hence, I think these are not updates at all and something is not working.

Anyone has had this yet?

I reinstalled a couple of packages which were already installed and somewhere between the second and the fourth one, the issue went away, now opnsense is saying no package updates available...

For anyone having this issue, here the packages I reinstalled:

htop
os-opnarp-maxit
os-adguardhome-maxit

Afterwards, I did notice my unifi controller was not starting and after reinstalling it it started fine. (maybe unrelated though)

Check what version you have now for AGH, it might have reinstalled an older one and the GUI will prompt for an update to v0.107.52

Not entirely sure, it says I'm on v0.107.51 and there an update available for v0.107.52, but I'm not sure v0.107.51 is the version from the package actually... But good tip, thanks.
