Title: Losing IPv6 address on pppoe interface after a few seconds
Post by: cava1st on August 01, 2024, 09:37:16 AM
Hi,

after upgrading to 24.7 I lose IPv6 connectivity on my second WAN-interface (Telekom pppoe) after a few seconds. The primary interface (Vodafone Cable) is working without issues. I did not make any changes to the config during upgrade. I've attached logs and screenshots.

Regards,
Werner

Sounds like an old issue - maybe https://github.com/opnsense/core/issues/6671 - is it possible you applied some workaround(s) and that got lost in the upgrade?

Did you ever find a solution? I tried opnsense a number of times (multiple releases) since you posted this, and the outcome is the same regarding pppoe with ipv6. What puzzles me is that opnsense is the only distro that doesn't seem to work and the ip address is released after a second.
