Title: Can OPNsense Support User Profiles with Daily Time Limits?
Post by: kwanbis on July 14, 2024, 08:22:26 PM
Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a way to manage internet usage through OPNsense. Specifically, I want to create user profiles and assign each profile a daily internet time limit (e.g., 60 minutes). The process I'm envisioning is as follows:

1. Users connect to the internet and are redirected to a login screen.
2. Once they log in, a timer starts counting down their allocated time.
3. After their allotted time (e.g., 60 minutes) is used up, their internet access is blocked for the rest of the day.

Does OPNsense support this functionality? If so, how can it be set up?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks. What would be the easiest way to incorporate opnsense in my network? I have a Dream Router that does the wifi, and fritzbox which is the dsl modem.
