Title: Pci/Pcie passthrough qeustion

Hello i have a mini network appliance running proxmox and inside it opnsense as a vm. My question is shall i pcie passthriugh and if yes is it possible to passthriugh only one port and how?

This depends entirely on the hardware and the hypervisor you are planning to use.
Nobody who does not run the exact same configuration will be able to answer your question.
For how to configure PCIe passthrough please consult the documentation of the hypervisor you are going to use.

about the hardware, if you mean if this is a whole device yeah its a switch but is there a way to pcie passthrough one netwrok port

No, this depends on how the network ports are wired to the IOMMU groups etc. Only by installing and booting Proxmox and simply trying can your question be answered.

The only way to check the group is with command line tools on an installed Proxmox, so why don't you just try if it works?
