Title: no Wireguard after update to 24.1.8 in the plugins
Post by: sined on May 31, 2024, 06:47:08 PM
Hello

Just updated to 24.1.8. After that, the Wireguard plugin was no longer installable. It was still displayed under Plugins but in red. On the status page I was then able to repair defective dependencies. As a result, there is no longer any Wireguard under Plugins.
However, Wireguard itself is still available under VPN and apparently it continues to run without any problems.
Is the Wireguard plugin simply not yet released for 24.1.8 and I just have to wait a bit until it is displayed again. Or have I missed something?

Wireguard is part of the base system since 24.1. It pays to read the release notes ;)

ah so that's why it's not included in the plugins.
In other words, if I reinstalled wireguard, would it be included by default?

Since we are in the english part of the forum I will continue in English.
Wireguard is part of OPNsense - in your system as well as in any fresh installation - now.

To resolve the plugin flagged as missing go to System > Firmware > ... and then it's "resolve local conflicts" or some such. I cannot look it up, because the option is only visible of you actually have conflicts.
