Hi there,
I'm having problems with the IPV6 service going down intermittently. (every 2-12 minutes).
I feel like I'm going nuts here, I even reinstalled OPNsense from scratch to see if that would fix anything, but stuck with the same problem. Any suggestions for how to proceed here?
Here's the dmesg output:

Here's my hardware info: https://bsd-hardware.info/?probe=92f9cb26f3
I hope one of you smart people here in the forums can help spot where this is going wrong.
Fingers crossed this isn't a looming hardware failure. :-X
I've tried following the "prevent release" tip found in this other forum thread (https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=33941.0), but that doesn't fix the problem unfortunately - still getting errors like these that insist that the ipv6 process is first killed, but then afterwards errors about the process already running:
2024-04-25T16:20:47 Error opnsense /usr/local/etc/rc.newwanipv6: The command '/usr/sbin/daemon -f -p '/var/run/dhcpleases6.pid' '/usr/local/opnsense/scripts/dhcp/prefixes.sh'' returned exit code '3', the output was 'daemon: process already running, pid: 89124'

Based on the dmesg it looks like igc0 is up/down quite a bit? Is that interface negotiating at the right speed? Maybe worth double checking the cable there just to rule out a physical issue?
Thanks for the quick response @opnfwb!
igc0 is showing up as 1000baseT <full-duplex>:
Swapped out the cable and rebooted now - I'll wait and see if that fixes anything, fingers crossed.
@opnfwb I *think* it's working now! Must have been the cable!
No problems for >15 minutes is definitely a new record.
Several hours later and everything is still running rock solid! Thank you so much @opnfwb, you rock! 8)
