Title: Configuring Intel dual NIC ?
Post by: OPNSenseFanatic on April 17, 2024, 03:16:39 AM
Firstly, apologies if posted a hundred times.  I combed the threads, but can't seem to narrow down my issue.
Second, it's probably a Newbie mistake, because that's what I am.  Here goes:

Issue:  I added an Intel dual NIC to my build that currently has a dual-NIC mini ATX board, but can't get Internet access.

Details:
ONSsense 24.1.5_3
em0_OPT1_Iot -> v4: 192.168.10.1/24  [Will use for IoT devices]
em1_OPT2_APs -> v4: 192.168.20.1/24  [Will use for meshed Access Points]
em2 -> v4: 192.168.7.1/24  [trusted LAN wired devices]
em3 ->: v4/DHCP4: 192.168.0.140/24  [connected to my shaw/rodgers cable modem in bridge config]
            v6/DHCP: yadda-yadda

+ Mainboard = Intel DQ77KB with onboard dual 1Gb NICS (82579LM, 82574L)
+ Add-in NIC = Intel  B00DOEGBGGPro/1000 PT Dual Port Server PCIex4

+ All Interfaces are enabled.  DHCP server is also enabled on all Interfaces.  I get DHCP on any devices connected. On-board LAN Interface works fine.  Just the OPT's do not.

Did you add firewall rules for those interfaces? If you did not, the default is "deny all".
