Title: Update my opensense from 22.7 to 24.2 no internet.
Post by: Sectomadness on April 08, 2024, 12:37:04 PM
Hi

Im trying to get my config to run on 24.2 but for some reason it will not work at all, it works just fine on 22.7.

It will not give me any connection out off my WAN, cant ping from the firewall or anything. It do get connection whit the ISP gateway whit no issues.
But if i have a ping active on my pc it starts working if i restart the machine in 2-3 sek so i suspect that its something whit the firewall settings that is blocking.

Anyone how have any tips what it can be that blocks my connection?

Thank you!

Hi

As far as I remember, it was some issue with default gateway and static WAN IP configuration.
I think the default gateway need to be configured again.

I did test redo the gateway and it did not help.  :(

Anyone have any more suggestions?

I did try to reset it to factory and set manually some settings works fine but not all.
We do have a lot of virtual WAN IP adressers can this be the issue?

You'll really have to post more information - all setups are individual, there's no way to know what might be blocking your traffic.

Screenshots of your configuration might help. It's a big jump (which was probably never tested).

There's a fix in 24.1.3 that isn't reached directly by the upgrade path yet but I'll pin the upgrade path to 24.1.5 this week to avoid future issues like this.

Cheers,
