Title: Linking two remote LAN's together with a network Bridge?
Post by: magestic on March 10, 2024, 03:56:30 AM
I would like to link my home network to my parents network with some sort of bridge, can this be done with OpenSense? Maybe using OpenVPN, IPsec, or Wireguard?

I need to be able to share resources in both directions.

An overlay network works well in this scenario. I am very happy with Tailscale.

You don't need any infrastructure at your parents - just install the client on whichever device (phone, NAS, laptop, etc.) you want to connect to your LAN.

Check out their YT feed for inspiration and how to install on OPNsense: https://www.youtube.com/@Tailscale
