Title: ROUTING: not a valid interface gateway address: ''
Post by: alpinit on February 22, 2024, 03:32:21 PM
Dear Everybody !

2 days ago I faced the following error, the internet goes down on the wan side, in the error log I find the following entry: /usr/local/etc/rc.bootup: ROUTING: not a valid interface gateway address: ''. The connection on the WAN side is PPPoE. Currently, 2 ipSec site2site vpn connections and an openvpn server are enabled. Has anyone encountered this error?

Versions    OPNsense 24.1.2_1

Thank you

Were you able to solve the problem?

I have the same mistake, but unfortunately I have no idea what it could be...

The message doesn't tell us anything except the fact that some gateway defined requires a far gateway option but the gateway is not (yet) defined in the system. This can be normal with dynamic connectivity.
