Title: Stuck in "Administer Secure Boot" DEC4020
Post by: fury_lx on February 15, 2024, 09:28:32 AM
Hi all,

I use a DEC4020, which got stuck at booting, so I was forced to reboot.

Now I am stuck inside the "Administer Secure Boot" menu.
I connect via usb-microusb to the console port, and the system only "boots" into said menu.
Is there any way to get into BIOS, which I am missing?

I attached the screenshot from putty.

Thanks in advance!

What happens if you enable Secure Boot and reboot?

I can only choose the options in blue text. It always boots back into this menu, no matter what I try.

I am currently in contact with Deciso, the appliance has been sent back for investigation.

I'm in the same situation. What was the solution, please?

FreeBSD does not use secure boot so I guess you can safely choose "Restore Secure Boot to Factory Settings".

The option "Enforce Secure Boot" is greyed out, I found this information in the docs of a Honeywell RT10W tablet:

QuoteEnabling "Enforce Secure Boot" will not work, as the option is greyed out. This is due to missing credentials. To get default credentials inserted, the option "Restore Secure Boot to Factory Settings" needs to be enabled. A following reboot is required. Afterwards "Enforce Secure Boot" is available.
