Title: os-nut (1.8.1_2) does not allow configuration of client username and password.
Post by: FreezerDog on January 18, 2024, 12:17:51 PM
OPNsense version: 23.7.12

I have installed os-nut (1.8.1_2).

Under Services > Nut > Configuration I have configured as:

Enabled: Yes
Service mode: Standalone
Name: ups1

I have confirmed the UPS can be queried successfully via the diagnostics page.

I wish to have another host query nut in client mode, but cannot determine the password for 'monuser' as there does not seem to be any option under Services > Nut to configure the 'monuser' password.

Please advise.

Kinds Regards.

I have the same issue - it seems that the plugin only supports running as a standalone mode or as a client to another server, but not as a server itself.

This is a pity since running the server on the router box seems ideal as it can be the last device to shutdown in a power loss and send the shutdown signal to all other LAN hosts.

PErhaps the OPNSense team can add this functionality in the future?
