Title: Authentication failed in Radius Tester
Post by: WhiteTiger on January 08, 2024, 04:24:18 PM
I installed the plugin for FreeRadius and created a client with IP 127.0.0.1 and as Shared Secret I used "password".
I then created some test users with the password "Password"
Finally I created an authentication server using IP and Shared Secret. As a protocol I used PAP.

However, when I try any user in "Tester" I always get the error "The following input errors were detected: Authentication failed."
In "System: Log Files: General" I find "Radius unexpected response"

Where am I wrong?

I just tried this and it works as expected.

Did you create the test users as FreeRadius users (OK) or as System -> Access -> Users (not OK)?

Did you set the type of the authentication server to Radius?

Is the Freeradius Service running?

All configuration is correct.
Now it works and the only thing I did is restart the firewall.

Compared to your setup, mine has all the standard settings.

Now it still doesn't work and I've rechecked everything, screen by screen.
From System - Access - Tester the user is accepted.
From Browser, on VLAN, I have Authentication Failed.

I am demoralized and disappointed.
It's a continuous Doing and Undoing.
