Hello, is anyone having issues with their WAN connection dropping during their ISP DHCP lease renewal? My IP stays the same, but for some reason the connection has been dropping since upgrading to 23.7.8. The problem still currently exists on 23.7.10_1 for me as well. I have a pretty basic configuration so I tried rebuilding the firewall from scratch, updated it to the latest version, and the problem still happens.
I'm using my onboard NIC (Intel 219-v) as the WAN connection directly to the ISP cable modem, and igb0 (Intel i210) as the connection to my switch.
I've reached out to my ISP and they have reported no downtime on my cable modem. I'm honestly at a loss right now, and the problem is getting annoying as it's interrupting my connection. I've attached logs from today and two days ago when the problem happened the most frequently.
Yes I have the same problem. I either unplug the ethernet WAN cable wait and plug back in or power cycle the cable modem.
Also can not get new IP with wan set DHCP for both IPv4 and IPv6. Resets find no new ip. After a few days internet cuts off/no traffic. II thought the D in DHCP stood for dynamic not static. Even after power off for 7 hours uses the same IP's after bootup.
I just reverted back to 23.7.7 to see if the problem goes away. We'll see.
Edit: Reverted back to 23.7.7 and downgraded kernel too and the problems still there.
