Title: Use printer on another network, what rules to create?
Post by: WhiteTiger on December 15, 2023, 07:29:09 PM
From the 192.168.1.0 network you need to print to printers that are on the 192.168.2.0 network.
I'm talking about network printers, not print servers.
Do I need to create any special rules or ports to be able to do this?

I didn't imagine there would be so many.
I would like to avoid buying printers only for secondary networks (Guests, Home, etc.) but not even configuring all these protocols.
I wonder if I shouldn't really buy dedicated printers or make a rule such as "From Guest-Net for Any Port to Group-Printers".

the idea is to figure out which protocol they use with ports and then use rules to allow that across.
