Title: Wrong LAN on Proxmox
Post by: chiliheld on December 06, 2023, 08:41:45 PM
Hi,
I have something weird on my Proxmox with Opnsense.
There are multiple VMs installed over 1 network card untagged going in to VLAN333.
All VMs are therefore getting IP 192.168.33.xx
Just one VM is getting VLAN5 whyever...
Network card is not VLAN aware as it's untagged so it cant get VLAN5 from a logical point.

Since there is an L3 switch installed and all other VMs are getting the correct VLAN it must be some problem in the OPNSense.

Any idea how this is even possible?

How does OPNsense come into play with respect to Proxmox, VMs and VLANs - isn't all of that handled in Proxmox?

Well since I don't have any VLANS in Proxmox and the Port untagged but PVID333 it is either a Problem of the Switch or Opnsense getting the Proxmox VM in the wrong VLAN. Proxmox cant do this as the switch is set to handle this port always VLAN333
