Title: OPNSense 2750
Post by: Dispute on September 22, 2023, 03:38:39 AM
Hi all,

I purchased a 2750 and changed the interfaces.

Essentially, I've locked myself out. I am able to console in but the interactive menu doesnt pop-up when I boot.

How can I factory reset my 2750?

Changed the interfaces how ? Can't you manually set an IP on the machine you're connecting from ?

For the console, are you using the correct settings ?

QuoteThe supplied USB-cable can be used to gain console access (settings are: 115200 8N1). Console access is restricted with a login. Use the following credentials:

    user : root

    password : opnsense

If you can access the device via serial at all (you should see the BIOS prompts on a reset), but the OpnSense menu does not show up, there is a chance that the UART settings are incorrect: https://docs.opnsense.org/hardware/serial_connectivity.html

If your installation is completely botched, you can enter the BIOS and start from an USB stick which contains a "serial" ISO installer image from here: https://opnsense.org/download/ (for community version).

Or get a current business ISO from Deciso.
