Title: Host fw alias doesn't go beyond 4 IPs
Post by: 9axqe on September 01, 2023, 03:03:51 PM
I have entered 9 IPs (mix of IPv4 and IPv6). Under diagnostics>aliases I can see opnsense only sees 4 IPs. It's not even the first 4, it's number 1, 2, 3 and 5 in the list, with some IPv4 and IPv6 detected.

I have pasted all IPs, comma separted, in a text file to make sure there's no space or anything strange.

Still under diagnostics>aliases, I can use "quick add address", it works until IP number 8, then some IPs disapear and I'm back to having only 5 IPs in the alias...

Known issue?

Hmmm, something is broken, I renamed the alias and I still see the old name under diagnostics>aliases...

I'll try a reboot later on.

Seems I have to reload pf every time I change an alias, for the change to take effect, is that expected?

Are you hitting apply in the Alias page after you make your changes?

yes, but the number in the column "loaded#" is not changing. Only after restarting pf.

Issue went away, I don't know why... Now it behaves like it should, rules updates after hitting "apply".
