Title: This account is currently not available
Post by: bazbaz on June 12, 2023, 06:23:56 PM
Hi
I have a 23.1 running on VMWare where the GUI is no more responding.

From the console ttyv0 (where I have login enabled), if I insert right login and password (if they are wrong I have an other message), OPNSense responds "this account is currently not available" and go back to login request.

How can I recover it? What can be the cause? The system is up and running (IPSec tunnels, etc), only management is corrupted (and I cannot understand why: I didn't change anything).

thanks

You probably didn't set a correct login shell for the user at the user settings.

no, it's a problem of the system

After some reboots, it allowed me a slow access and I found that the log partition was full. This is the problem that made the GUI and the CLI not working.

I think most systems do this if you let the disk overflow.

Yoday I have the same problem with and other OpnSense.

Using boot in single mode, and df -h, I can see that that disk is not full (if this is the right way to check it). So... ? :(
