Hello
Not really sure where I am going with this except that the only constant server in my home is OPNSense, running through Proxmox. I run my current Nextcloud on my OMV on a different server but at times there needs to be reboots for kernel purposes etc, so I wanted a more permanent solution.
I suppose I could just install it on Proxmox, but curious about this first.
Hi @fbeye, try this premade VM https://www.hanssonit.se/nextcloud-vm/
They offer a Proxmox version. I'm using the VMWare ESXi 40GB version and it is very good.
EDIT:
It is better to have a separate VM for Nextcloud than having it under OMV... don't try to install it under OPNSense. It is a bad idea.
Interesting, I will indeed do that. I assume this goes into the backup directory on Proxmox (i forget the directory) and then restore backup and of course set in the options?
Honestly, I didn't take the time to use Proxmox yet, is on my TODO list, but they made a document to install the VM https://download.kafit.se/s/YmPiD362tBjxKTL?dir=undefined&openfile=25686
Cheers
